I've been playing music since I was about 14, started out on guitar as most bass players do. I play in two bands, Funny Money with Rob Galpin, Steve Whiteman and Jimmy Chalfant, check out our web site here . See us on MySpace too. I also am fortunate enough to play bass in one of my all time favorite bands, the mighty KIX ! Check out that site here . Also see our KIX MySpace site. And man do I love the bass! I am such a student of the instrument, always looking out for new sounds, techniques and riffs from my bass idols that I've never heard before. My amps are Trace Elliot, my live basses are Warwicks. I have a nice collection of basses and guitars, some vintage Rickenbackers, a few Fenders and a bunch of Warwicks among many others. I love Warwick basses and I was recently chosen to be an official endorser - check out the Warwick International site, click on News. Also from the menu, click on Endorser | International. I'm honored to be associated with a great company like Warwick.
Funny Money's new CD Stick It! is out! I got to work with mega-platinum rock producer Beau Hill while he was mixing our record - it really was a thrill to work with the guy who I always, whenever I recorded, tirelessly (and hopelessly more often than not) attempted to make my stuff sound as good as his records do! You should hear our CD, it sounds amazing! (Eternal thanks to Beau)
I love my work and am as passionate about computers and technology as I am about music. Fortunately, nowadays, you can have both computers and music. Everybody uses ProTools to record music now. There is nothing I like better than to be able to leverage my computer skills for recording and songwriting inspiration and to make better sounding recordings.
