¡Saludos a todos! I, JoaquÃn G.B. El Belga, am a flamenco guitar player and flamenco percussionist. I also play others styles like rock, psychedelic music, fusion and metal, all this trying to keep my flamenco touch. Now i'm beginning to study the indian instrument called ghatam and the Carnatic music. My first experience in a band was with the age of sixteen years with a punk band called "Azekia". Some years after, with the age of 20 years i began to receive Flamenco classes by the great guitar master Francisco Marquez Mendez "Paco de Antequera" who gaves me all the necesary knowledge to understand and play Flamenco guitar. Unfortunately he died in a car crash, and i can't explain how grateful i am to have been his pupil so i always try to keep alive his work and memory. At the same time, while i was living in Granada, i joined a melodic death metal band called "Soma" with Alex Gutiérrez López with the drums, Nino with guitar and Abel Sánchez Carvajal with bass guitar. Some years after, Alex and i began to work in "Proyecto Quasar", this is an hommage to andalusian psychedelic rock with the participation of Javier Rodriguez Pena playing the flute and saxophone and Nino who plays some guitar pieces. Here you can hear the first song of "Proyecto Quasar", we still haven't recorded the voices but we'll make it soon. Proyecto Quasar are four songs. In the summer of 2005 we created a Flamenco band called "La Casa de los Tintes" with Abel Sánchez Carvajal, Pablo Ramos Artacho "Fausto", Javier Rodriguez Pena, Rafael Romero, Alejandro Gutiérrez López and i, you can see us in the video performing the song called "Tharsis", composed by Abel Sánchez C. and Javier Rodriguez P. After some lives shows the band dissapeared and i began to play with a very good Flamenco singer from Malaga called Soledad Navas "Sole". With her i finished to learn the secrets of play guitar for a singer. I also have been collaborating with the Flamenco dancer Ana Pastrana. Actually, i sometimes make some lives performances with the singer Pablo R.A."Fausto", Javier R.P., and i'm working in my own Flamenco compositions to play with the new"La Casa de los Tintes" ( Alex Gutiérrez L., Nacho León, Javi Rodriguez P., Pedro Varela, Faust and i) and soon you will listen it here! What you can hear now is a demo of a bulerÃa composed and played by Javier R.P. and i. You can also hear two death metal songs i composed, Terpsichore and Canción de cuna para el pequeño tomi.
