→ It is not easy to classify Soziedad Alkoholika within a specific style of music. Thrash, Hardcore, Metal, Punk... The only sure thing is that its foundation has always been in its strength and speed, displaying a wide and varied selection of influences based on their particular style as is shown in their arrangements. With regard to their text, they have always been faithful to the music. Corrosive and explicit lyrics, full of social commitment and direct protest, have been one of its main characteristics. This irreverant attitude has brought with it certain problems with the legal system, instigated by the most conservative sectors of the Spanish State.
Nobody has been left indifferent since they formed the group. After their massive hit with their first demo "Intoxikaziòn Etìlica" where they combine strength and speed, unusual for those times, it was in 1991 with their first LP "Soziedad Alkoholika"that they were able to surprise the specialists in their field and at the same time appeal to a wide variety of followers from all areas of heavy music. Their first official piece of work broke barriers which many had thought to be insuperable among such styles so defined as Punk and Metal, which was a salutary shock for the scene at the time. Needless to say, their first LP instantly became a crossover classic.
Within a few years they set up their own independent record label in 1995, Mil A Gritos, having performed numerous concerts and releasing two EP..s and one more LP. In that same year they released their third LP "Ratas", surprising all once more with a specially cared for sound but at the same time as forceful as ever. Since then they have released all their material under their own label, as well as using it to produce other groups.
Since forming the group, Soziedad Alkoholika has not stopped giving concerts all over Spain, America, Europe, Japan, etc. Having released 8 LP..s, it is one of the independent groups which has sold most in the Spanish market and which has had maximum audience in its live concerts. The group has hardly changed since it began, maintaining its identity both in its recordings as well as in its overwhelming live concerts.

→ No es fácil clasificar a Soziedad Alkoholika dentro de un único estilo musical. Thrash, Hardcore, Metal, Punk... Lo único cierto es que sus fundamentos básicos siempre han sido la potencia y la velocidad, mostrando en sus composiciones un amplio y variado abanico de influencias marcadas por su particular estilo. En lo que respecta a sus textos, siempre se han mantenido en una línea acorde con la música. Letras corrosivas y explicitas, repletas de compromiso social y denuncia directa han sido una de sus principales características. Esta irreverente actitud les ha acarreado no pocos problemas con la justicia, promovidos desde los sectores mas conservadores.
Desde el comienzo de su formación como banda, no han dejado indiferente a nadie. Arrasaron con su primera demo "Intoxikazión Etílica" en la que combinaban una fuerza y velocidad inusuales hasta entonces. Pero fue en 1991 con su primer LP "Soziedad Alkoholika" cuando logran sorprender a la crítica especializada y atraen a una gran cantidad de adeptos de todo tipo de músicas duras. Su primer trabajo oficial rompía las barreras que muchos creían insalvables entre estilos tan definidos como el Punk y el Metal, lo cual supuso un auténtico revulsivo para la escena. En poco tiempo se convirtieron en referente para un buen numero de bandas dentro y fuera del estado. Como no podía ser de otra manera, su primer LP se convirtió casi al instante en todo un clásico del crossover.
Al cabo de pocos años, sin dejar de ofrecer conciertos y tras publicar dos EP..s y su segundo LP, crean en 1995 su propio sello discográfico independiente, Mil A Gritos Records. La primera referencia que editan ese mismo año es su tercer larga duración "Ratas", logrando de nuevo sorprender a todos con un cuidado sonido pero mostrándose mas contundentes que nunca. A partir de entonces editan casi todo su material a través de su sello, además de dedicarlo para la producción de otras bandas.
Desde sus inicios, Soziedad Alkoholika, no ha parado ni un momento de actuar por toda España, América, Europa, Japón, etc. Con 8 LPs a sus espaldas y mas de 350.000 discos vendidos en el estado español, es uno de los grupos independientes más reconocido y que más poder de convocatoria tiene en sus directos. Su sólida formación no ha variado apenas desde sus orígenes manteniendo intacta toda su esencia original tanto en sus grabaciones como en sus arrolladores directos.
