About Me

I love playing the drums - It's the best seat in the house!Located near Ipswich, Suffolk - I was a late starter at 21 but with any instrument 'you only get out what you put in' and it takes a great amount of self discipline to achieve great results. I used to practice for around 4 hours a day before deciding to enroll in the Drum-Tech (www.drum-tech.co.uk) 1 year diploma music course in west London where i graduated after passing every exam in December 2001. In london i was lucky enough to meet some amazing world class drummers such as Steve Smith, Dave Weckl and Horacio 'el negro' Hernandez. Since then i have released a drum educational book which has sold out all over the world, including Australia - In April 2005 i joined the tuition team at drummer magazine (www.drummer-mag.com) where i have a monthly column focusing on drum grooves, fills and techniques - I'm also a Vic Firth (www.vicfirth.com) PDT educator.
