Frank Dolan :: Drums
New Day Mile are three guys whose experience and talent combine to create a unique sound. Beyond that, they leave you to judge for yourself. No apologies, no hype, just the music!
The name New Day Mile is derived from a song lyric, and it symbolizes new chances and opportunities for every day we're alive. In the words of DimeBag Darrell, "Roll with it or get rolled over!".
The band recorded their debut CD at DML studios in San Marcos (and they've been known to give FREE copies away at shows to help spread the NDM gospel)! NDM fans have enjoyed over 5000 MySpace plays in 2006, and NDM are in pre-production for their upcoming second release.
Born and raised in New Jersey, James Brady took guitar lessons from local guitar virtuoso Dave DiPietro (Guitarist with TT Quick/Nuclear Assault) whose student roster included Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society/Ozzy Osbourne) and Dave "The Snake" Sabo (Skid Row). James became notable in the San Diego music scene with bands like Juiced and Crown 10, whose self-titled release had national and international distribution through Crash Music/IDN. After the breakup of Crown 10, some soul searching and a few very prolific months of writing, riffs and lyrics were flowing freely, and passion was renewed.
Frank Dolan, a native of Ireland, recorded and performed his way through a good portion of Europe before heading for the US, where he has made noise on both coasts and most points in between. He has worked with notable artists like Larry Mitchell, Fiction and Fighting Iris, and he co-wrote the Rhythm Knowledge drum instruction series with Berklee instructor and Pearl/Zildjian clinician Mike Mangini.
Jason Sikora brought his formidable bass chops to the mix as we rang in 2007. After only a few rehearsals, Jason has already made his mark, and NDM should be hitting the streets again by Spring.
From here to where? Who knows? Stay tuned!
