My Interests

I love these things: singing with my band, live music anywhere, discovering new musicians, books, gin rummy, Julia Barbee's artwork, plans to become a world traveler, surrounding myself with good people.

I'd like to meet:

If you're relatively intelligent and at all interesting...I'm game.

Music:

Any and all blues (trying to bulk up my collection, got any suggestions?), The Pixies, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Joy Division, Doris Day, The Ramones, Violent Femmes, Alison Moyet, Too Short, Ween, Etta James, Interpol, The Cure, This Mortal Coil, Pavarotti, Janis Joplin, Heidi Berry, The Yeah Yeah Yeah's...and I've started getting into bluegrass. Who knew? So many artists move me; this is just the tip of the iceberg. Name something and we'll talk.

Movies:

Some favorites: The Princess Bride, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Ever After, The Big Lebowski, The Station Agent, La Femme Nikita, Secretary, Garden State, Hotel Rwanda, Run Lola Run, Pulp Fiction, Gummo, Logan's Run, A Lovesong for Bobby Long, Christopher Guest's movies, Evil Dead trilogy, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Enter the Dragon, GREY GARDENS (holy shit...those women rule),

Television:

Star Trek(s), The Office, The Discovery Channel, Travel Channel. And I miss Firefly!

Books:

Anything by George R. R. Martin, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Dean Koontz (read Odd Thomas...trust me), Margaret George, Wilton Barnhardt, Ray Bradbury, Robert R. McCammon, King Arthur writings, my special guilty pleasure, J.K. Rowling, the Bard of course, and the list goes on and on and on.....
