About Me

We are friends first, and although we are very distinct individuals we are bound together by our shared passion for creativity and music. On this journey we've risked and lost a lot, using the insanity and drama to inspire us and become better musicians and better people. We are driven to be the best band in the world so we can tour it, we want to record the greatest album ever recorded to we can listen to it and play it for the all of our friends. We believe in the impossible and we don't let it stand in our way. We don't care if someone doesn't like our band, we'd rather focus on the good and just love the people that do forever. These are our true fans, the people that make us feel like we are accomplishing something, and that's not always easy to do. Chapter One: The Beginning
Through a jungle of cement and asphalt, divided by hills, the story of our four young heroes began. They were out on a mission. Not to conquer, not to change, only to learn from the gods of rock and to blend together the different creeds in order to form a new and all powerful sound.
It was merely a pursuit of truth. A dogma based on happiness, goodness, and true friendship. Unfortunately, many foes rose up to stand in their way. It was the high school years and each was out on their own struggling against the school mandated edicts against rock that stated, "Any soul who was to be caught rocking out in public would be expelled". This is where our story begins. When as individuals, our heroes set out to undermine the evil decree and follow their rock n roll dreams.
After seven years of playing and composing classical piano, Theo Gersht had an urge to pick up the guitar. After a couple months of playing around and teaching himself how to play, Theo decided it was time to form a band. He teamed up with his high school buddy Jonah and Aaron Revivo(captain of the nearby Grant High School drum line). Although this band only went so far and led to Jonah and Theo dropping out of school, Theo and Aaron decided they were in for life.
Theo continued to compose and one day decided to record a demo in a studio playing all the instruments himself aside from drums. The two began circulating demos everywhere and the response was enormous!
At that point they realized they needed more man power if they were to successfully fulfill their dreams. They asked Sam White, another exiled high school friend, who really couldn't play bass well at first, but they needed someone and he learned... fast.
After the breakup up his band Chains of Freedom, where he was the lead-singer/guitarist, Avromie joined his contemporaries. As an amazing guitarist with a charismatic personality, he was another renegade in their high school, leading his own fight opposing the counterproductive rules against creativity. The line up was now complete and the boys graduated to men. With their unique and individual personalities and backgrounds they united to form a larger than life musical leadership allowing every person regardless of race, ideals, or background to have a friend with whom they can relate to.
IN THEORY.
Using their catchy tunes and amazing live shows, they set the stage for the amazing future that lies ahead. Hard hitting drums, pounding bass, thick guitars with both lead and backup vocals coupled with acrobatics and energy on stage, the boys can pump up a crowd of people in a graveyard. Our four heroes with the help of their best friends Daneil, Jared, and Avi have toured the West and Mid-West U.S. and played venues such as:
The House of Blues Sunset Strip, The Whiskey a Go Go, The Roxy, The Key Club, All three rooms of the Knitting Factory Hollywood, B.B. Kings and Jillians at Universal City Walk, The El Rey Theater, Chain Reaction, Studio S, The Cobalt Café, college parties, Six Flags Magic Mountain, several events for Transworld Surf and Skate Magazines on bills with band such as:
My Chemical Romance, Papa Roach, Hawthorn Heights, Reliant K, Story of the Year, Alien Ant Farm, Handsome Devil, The Plain White T-s, Anberlin, The Sleeping, Hed PE, A Change of Pace, Never Heard of It, HelloGoodbye, Nural, The Matches, Jenoah, Daphne Loves Derby, This Providence, Sherwood, Near Miss, Kaddisfly, and the list goes on.
It was still a jungle, there were still hills dividing, but IN THEORY was overcoming and rising and it was only thanks to you that we can follow our dreams.
Chapter Two: The Alliance
A year has passed, our heroes are no longer boys. The world has matured them in a way that only harsh realities can. Our heroes have been practicing, honing their craft, combining each of their unique talents with the vision of creating a master-piece. It was the summer of 2006, and the time was finally right. An alliance had been formed and the band now had a record label and the resources to transform what was once just a dream and turn it into reality. With that, the band disappeared into the studio. Questions swirled regarding their whereabouts. The people wanted to know: what was going on in this studio? Finally they emerged, proudly presenting their masterpiece to the world. It was titled “This Is Itâ€. They crossed their fingers and prayed to the rock gods that they should look favorably upon them. They now had a gospel, and they were ready to spread it to all who would listen.
But as usual things never go as planned, and soon afterwards things started changing. The news came one fateful Sunday evening, their long time band mate, colleague, and friend Aaron had to step down. The group was stunned, lost, not sure what to do next. But the gods of rock smiled and as if by miracle the answer came.
He came from a far away land. A place called Wisconsin, a land of cheese, beer, and football. But from this place a drummer rose and stepped up to fill the big shoes that had been left vacant. The man called himself Zak, the child of St. John. He answered the boys post on Craig’s List and although it was originally to be for a few short months, fate had another plan. The group bonded over a common goal, a passion for music and all that goes with it. Zak joined the band. The lineup was once again complete and the quintet decided they were ready to take on the world.
Armed with a new album, a new face, and the same old passionate dedication, the group set out to spread their sonic magnum opus. With the help of the alliance, the album dropped June 5th, 2007 across the United States. The fire now lit, the foundation laid, and it is now in the hands of the people.
Is It Really You Behind This Account?

We're all under the same influences.

No, not any longer, but the ones that are, use fake ID's just like the rest of you ;).

If I give you my phone number will you call or text me?
No. Sorry, but as responsible role models we can not allow you to give out your phone number over myspace. Unless, of course, you have written permission from at least two parents or legal guardians and your P.E. teacher ...no exceptions.
How come I sent you a message/comment and you didn't respond?
Good question, there are many possible reasons such as we have the flu, are on the road on don't have access to a computer, your message is buried under the hundreds of spam messages we get regularly, or most likely because there are 4 of us in the band and we just asumed one of the other 3 already responded. We apologize if you felt hurt, unloved, ignored, irrelevent, or any other negitve feeling, for that matter, as a result. We promise we try to respond to everyone. If you need to get in touch with us and we didn't answer from the band page, message us on our personal page, we have them so we an talk to you!
