$omethin’ else

$omethin' else came together in June 1988 in a room upstairs of Go-Cats-Go-Records in Oberhausen. They took the bandname from an Eddie Cochran song and played Rock'n'Roll and Rockabilly in the tradition of the old 50s Rockers and more modern sounds like the Stray Cats. But of course they tried to find their own style and could proof that on their LP "Get ready for $omethin' else" from 1990. Until their split-up in 1992 the band played a lot of gigs in their hometown and the local Ruhrpott-Area as well as some bigger shows like the Munich R'n'R Festival in 1991.
The members went seperate ways like Marcus and Mikel formed MESS of BOOZE (later SPITFIRE and LOU CIFER AND THE HELLIONS), Lutz started to play with THE JAILBIRDS and Andy used to play with THE BLIZZARDS for a while. In 1994 the boys came together for the last time to do a farewell-gig in their hometown Oberhausen, which was a great party and a blast for their fans.
