About Me

Howdy Friends and Fiends, Well, it´s been six months since you´ve heard anything from us, and now we´re telling you why. Our mission has been aborted and we are leaving this world to return to Planet Porn. We will be coming back in a different form at an undetermined time and place, but the Sin City Circus Ladies will cease to exist in approximately 2 weeks. Sad but true. We want to thank all you who supported us and made our mission on your planet such a god damn good time and finally, we would like to invite you to our last show ever on the 24th of June at Tommy Weissbecker Haus, in tribute to our dear friends Damien & Monica, RIP. Over and Out. Yours truly, The Sin City Circus Ladies

It all began in the summer of 2002 when Trinity, an over dressed and underpaid street blues singer from San Francisco joined forces with Parisian trans-punk-revolutionary, Shambhu. Fully equipped with liquid eyeliner, red lipstick, high heels, fishnets, an acoustic guitar, a tambourine and a collection box, the Ladies set out to hit Berlins bars and trains in hopes to make a buck or two for kicks.
Their raunchy renditions of 50's and 60's Blues, Soul, Country and Punk songs managed to make them enough cash to wine, dine, and invest in material for new costumes. It wasn't long before the dynamic duo would be invited to play as opening act in select underground clubs, which progressed into their forming of the band.
One day Little Miss Luzifer would invite them to play as headlining band in a well known East Berlin night club. Too embarrassed to play acoustic in front of a big crowd, the Ladies called up sixties guitarist, Robert Terkany, drummer Rainer Baumgartner and Rockabilly bassist and Berlin transplant, Luscious Lloyd Clark from Rochester, New York, to practice for what they assumed would be a one time only gig. Only that wasn't the case. Luckily, on Friday the 13th in September 2002, a crowd made up of all walks of life showed up, and was transformed into screaming fiends on their knees begging for more. This gig marked a promising beginning of a non-stop rock'n'roll massacre of every sleazy scene and town through the winter and into 2003 when Robert sadly went on his own way.
The core four knew it was too soon to call it quits and they sought out a new guitarist. After a few rounds of trial and error they found their perfect match, Berlins legendary guitarist Tom Schwoll (Jingo de Lunch, Extrabreit, and Kumpelbasis) and within a few sessions they developed a new and explosive sound which would catapult them through a summer of open air and apocalyptic sold-out club gigs throughout Berlin and Germany.
In 2004 the Ladies would start to play support for bands like Dead Moon, The Misfits and Texas Terri Bomb.
Soon the band went into the studio with Alexander Hacke and Neubauten engineer Boris the Man to record their first six track EP, with new member, madman drummer, Steve Machine (Terrorgruppe, Extrabreit, Barflies). Bringing in a new element of harder, faster, punchy punk rock sound, as well as new inspiration for songs like Black Widow, A Letter to Daddy, and Cheerleader Fucker Blues they would take a run for the money and get those songs down, dirty, and recorded by September, just a month after Steves joining of the band.
With an initial recording under their belts and an ever growning fan base throughout Europe, the band were offered higher profile gigs supporting acts such as: Queens of the Stoneage, The Dwarves, Slim Jim Phantom and the Turbo ACs.
That's what brought the man-eating, higher-heel-wearing, Ladies to where they are today: hot, rockin and ready to roll. The Sin City Circus Ladies are out to shake the flesh and bones of every witness in their path with a sinful sense of musical debauchery. Amen!
