Lang started this little musical journey with guitar lessons from a red-headed Elvis impersonator named Red Raven. "He taught me about legends like Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, and Elvis...and he was a great guy. When my family had little money to afford lessons for me, he gave me lessons for free," states Lang. Thanks to an Elvis impersonator and a lot of playing Lang is bringing his music around loud and ready. As a songwriter he offers songs that are a throw back to why he’s a music fan. He relates,†The music that I respond to feels like it will always mean something. So, that is always my goal. Create something that in 25 years from now I will still love." His take on being a singer/songwriter? "When I sing a song it’s one of the few moments in my life that I don’t wonder if I belong doing this. Everything in my blood feels right... I never feel like I have to pretend."
Tim lives in Mazatlan, Mexico but of course spends much time in the US performing. "I like living these two lives. One here in the States where I can understand what is current here, but at the same time seeing on a daily basis a different life in Mexico. Mexico and its people inspire me...not to mention the waves are much better than my old home, Arizona,†blasts Lang.
Lang’s current project has him teaming up with producer Scott Mathews a multi-Grammy Award winner. "Scott keeps me honest. I love the music we are making and I think people are going to respond to it stronger than anything else I’ve ever done,†says Lang. In the meanwhile Lang is happy to win one fan at a time. He say’s looking a little giddy,†It feels so surreal that people make my music part of their life. I am so appreciative of every person that gives me a moment for my music."
