Known for their great instrumentation skills, knowledge, and expertise in the music industry The 88’s Band can show they are unlike other cover bands. The passion, drive, and dedication inspire these four talented artists to continue on their road to success and longevity in music. The 88’s Band is comprised of Brad Frazier (lead singer and guitarist), Eric Farmer (guitarist), Shannon Sabbatini (bass guitarist), and Ben George (drummer).
Several years prior to the formation of The 88’s Band, the members were involved in their own individual musical journeys. A few years ago, Tennessee natives Brad and Eric started performing in various bands together. While Brad played lead guitarist, Eric filled in as the bass player. Brad and Eric were raised in musical surroundings and both knew music was their passion, thus the reason why these musicians wanted to form a band together. Brad has played music for more than fifteen years, with diverse musical influences such as Blues, Rock & Roll, R&B, Country, and Jazz. Over the span of his life, he has played with various songwriters and bands that cover a wide genre of music, showing Brad is very versatile with the music he plays. “My old man showed me how to play a few chords when I was 10 or 11, “states guitarist Eric Farmer as he mentions how he first got his start in music. Eric became more interested in playing guitar and throughout the years he began to grow both mentally and musically as a result. By using music as an outlet, he was able to use his emotions in song rather than words. Brad and Eric had a close friendship and tie to music that enabled them to continue playing music together.
While Brad and Eric were developing their musical styles, Shannon and Ben were making music in their own hometowns. First inspired by Eric Claption during a 1994 concert tour, Shannon Sabbatini knew that music was his true calling. Shannon picked up bass guitar and started playing with various bands around Arkansas and Tennessee. As a bassist, his musical influences consist of Jack Bruce, Paul McCartney, including many others. Based out of Indiana, The 88’s Band drummer Ben George was gathering his skills with a hometown Rock & Roll band called ‘The Sympathizers’, which made for an incredible ten year stint. Ben has also performed professionally with cruise ship show bands, broadening his musical experience with an array of Pop, R&B, Jazz, and Classic Rock music. When asked to summarize his musical journey, he states, “Well, I haven’t spontaneously combusted yet, so things are good!â€The Thrill Is Gone
