Born and raised in Sweden, Johanna Gard grew up in a musical family. Gospel was her main musical influence and she toured with her family throughout most of her childhood. As a teenager Johanna started to write music and put together a band that played soul music.Through the years she's been collaborating and working with different songwriters and producers, both in Stockholm and Los Angeles. This led to her completed self-titled EP available on iTunes. She performed at the 2006 Volvo for Life Awards alongside Avril Lavigne and the world-famous Harlem Gospel Choir.Johanna also performs as a back-up vocalist/session singer, as well as passing on her knowledge and experience as a vocal coach. She’s now devoting all her energy towards pursuing a solo career.
