Do You Have a Type A Personality?
My human's musical tastes run a VERY broad range....and she has learned to not say she doesn't like country or rap....cause alot of music she likes may be based on one or the other. So when she reads or hears someone else exclaim...."oh...I don't like country or rap"...she thinks..."YEAH...O.K." She loves reggae...Bob Marley and the Wailers (the older the better)...Lee "Scratch" Perry...She listens to ALOT of Reggae...but her foundation is....The Kinks, The Clash, The Who...Jimi Hendrix--Yeah...that is very popular in the pickup line at school. The car door opens and Jimi is blaring...hmmmm....I never heard any other car blaring Jimi in the school pick-up line. Another thing she never could understand is tapes like...say...Reggae for Kids with Raffi singing. Now her philosophy is...why not just listen to Bob? Yellowman....errrrrr...Jimmy....(Cliff),Sister Carol...oooeeee. She likes Lou Reed/Velvet Underground...Luna, Beck (!!!), Sex Pistols, Elvis Costello, Ian McCulloch, Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews, The Innocence Mission, Leonna Naess, Beth Orton,Big Star,Elliot Smith,John Hiatt,David Goodwin,Billy Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Johnny Cash...Blues...Blues...Blues--...Baez....Judy "blue eyes". There are so many....Neil Young, CSN....ummmm...The Grateful Dead....oh yeah...that cutie Jack Johnson...basically Abba-Zeppelin -- she is ALL over the place and she even plays classical as well.
I don't watch much tv...usually when my human is watching I am curled up next to her catching up on some much needed zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's--my days are so busy. The movies she sometimes watches are in a different language so it is difficult for me to understand--I think one of her favorites is Amelie...she liked it enough to actually buy the DVD.
Again same applies here as to movies....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Except I really like the Fab 5 and Designed to Sell--those are fun!
My human reads a lot! The only book I really recognized (because it had a Jack Russell on the cover--now that I think of it it looked like Thatcher did back in the day--sorry Thatch!) was a book titled, Angus. I remember seeing this cover for a good two days straight and the minute she finished she had tears in her eyes and then hugged me and my brother Thatcher a lot! I think if you are a dog lover and ESPECIALLY a Jack Russell lover you should read this book.
