His music with The Gasmatics asks the question ’where did it all go wrong?’ then answers with an emphatic ’YES!’ A fascist construction waiting for a tea party (complete with dainty cakes), The Gasmatics spew bile on to the tiled bathroom floor that is popular music. To paraphrase Camus ’A man’s music is nothing but this slow trek to rediscover, through the detours of art, those two or three great and simple images in whose presence his heart first opened’ - Crash proves that, for some, two or three images is two or three too many.
