Fifteen Famous Minutes

About Me

The three other members of the band without Randy make up a band called the Grow Show which backs up some other artists at times and generally do whatever it is they do. Stuff. Y'know. Add Randy, that's me, and then you have Fifteen Famous Minutes. I'm the Springsteen to their E Street, minus the Jersey Girls, some of the Genius, and 23 top ten hits. I also play in the dIrtI Speshuls (u.k.) and do some solo shows, so if we don't have lots of upcomming shows it doesn't mean we're not busy. I always liked band names better than some Dudes name (and maybe a name for the band.) It's a dicey thing sometimes. Billy Idol. Why is it just his name when what would all those songs be without Steve Stevens? At the same time I've played in so many bands thru the years that individual name recognition becomes important after enough re-starting. So Randy S and the Grow Show would could does almost work. What's in a name? Not much if you're not a word guy like me, if you are, for real, then you know that where the commas are makes a difference. Things matter to you if they are things that matter to you. I am older than the fukn' trees, but this band is new, so our Bio is short. That's just the way it is. We are currently recording our second full length CD as well. MyGen Profile Generator

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Dan - Bass, Fretless B, other ======= Stan - Drums, percussion, re-percussion, other. ======= Randy - Voc, guitar, piano, other.
Influences: Some of our influences have to be Ghandi, and yes, the Muppets. A local scene of Artists easily able to fill out any country's Top Whatever 40 list with kick ass songs. No shit, as a fan of music the world over, there is no shortage of locals to listen to and say to one's self; wow, you wrote that. And you're nine drunk blocks walking from my house. I rate my friends who are songwriters against all the heavyweights of recent history and they fare extrordinarally well. When we become Seattle we won't be Seattle because we are Lethbridge and we are not the past or the future. We are now. This fucking second. The next breath you take. Now is the new tomorrow. Or some shit like that. I'm a Doors fan. /........................................might listen to (that 60's crew), 70's Punk, Metric, Blondie, Rilo Kiley, Springsteen, Radiohead, Brand New, Sonic Youth, Korn, Teagan & Sara, that Rap song you hate, Little Birdy, Tori Amos, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, the Yeah Yeah Yeah's -- so so much more. Oh, G&R, Velvet Underground, Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Bolan.. //Favorite current song is often by a band I was unaware of last week. If I want to hear something real specific I just write it. So much quicker.

WHY WHAT, TOO MELLOW

Why does the music sound pretty not too heavy? Well, the first stuff, from the first CD, is more like a solo record than a band record. We play a bunch of the songs much heavier live. But any future s...
