Lots of famous people so I can put pictures of me with them as my MySpace profile. OMG.
Right now I'm all about the Passion collaborative and then some of the peeps I heard there (Kristian Stanfill, Alex Nifong, Steve Fee), and throw some Caedmon's Call, Jars of Clay, old school dcTalk, Shane & Shane, and Casting Crowns to round out my fave Christian musicians. Oh wait, cardinal sin, I forgot Matt Maher, whose bandwagon I've jumped on.In secular music, I just love pop music.Five seconds after putting this, I realized I forgot to add all the other bands I like: Indigo Girls, Superchick, the Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt, Nickelcreek, Kelly Clarkson, Old 97s, John Mayer Trio, Jimmy Buffett, and I really get into bluesy moods where I just have to binge.
Anything Baz Luhrmann has a hand in, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, James Bond, and many, many, many lame romantic comedies.
I watch House MD almost regularly, and then occasionally plonk down and just let it play.
Oh books. I read a hundred last year. It is hard to come up with books I really, really liked, and books I just kind of liked. Books that changed my life I might not necessarily read again. So let's say...Paulo Coelho, Nick Hornby, the Master and Commander series, the Horatio Hornblower series, I am not but I know I AM, Shopaholic series, Pamela Aiden's Darcy series, Jane Austen, James Bond...there's just too much floating in my head.Throwing a few more as I think of them...Anne of Green Gables, the Little House books, anything on worship (is it weird to have an academic interest in worship?), Kaye Gibbons, Helen Fielding (Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination is WAY under-rated), Benedict Groeschel, Scott Hahn, Peter Kreeft....
