SINGER / SONGWRITER / DESIGNER
5-SCALE SOPRANO COLORATURA
Can a voice be pink?I will treat this question as my 2008 mini-thesis.
Sounds come from vibrations transmitted through an elastic solid or a liquid or gas, with frequencies in the approximate range of 20 to 20,000 hertz, capable of being detected by human organs of hearing. So defined by dictionaries.
Color is a phenomenon of light (as red, brown, pink, or gray) or visual perception that enables one to differentiate otherwise identical objects. Equally defined by dictionaries.
Color and sound therefore have nothing to do with each other... The regions of the brain responsible for their perceptions are in 2 different locations.
But where color and sound meet is a special place.
Some call it synesthesia. I'm so into music that it makes me sound PINK. Feel me? And I hope that when I sing anything to you, I can put you into that synesthetic mood I get in every now and then. :-)
So far I've been very blessed in 2007. I've met many interesting people. Worked with many interesting people. It feels good to see that I keep learning from positive people and also from negative people I've met.
Life is such a beautiful journey you don't want to miss any minute from. Even when the chips go down. Yes, I cry when everything seemed messed up. Yes, I curse when I think destiny was working against me. And yes I yell in excess of joy, because Life then so many times smiles back at me. It's all part of it.
Loving every second of my chaotic life as a singer, a songwriter, a graphic designer, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a partner...
