On October 22,1974 on a small town of the island of Puerto Rico one of the best mixologist in the world was born.Growing up in a rough and poor enviroment Joey Velez worked very hard to help his family in every way he could. for the first time in his life he visited the great city of New York, being amazed by the city that never sleeps in every aspect Joey Velez decides to take a turn in his life and and at the of 10 years old starts learning the skills the diffrent styles of urban arts and becomes the youngest grafitty artist on the north side of the island. His passion for everything connected with urban styles get more than his attention for few years,wetherit was music,drawing or dancing he was attracted to it. Then in 1987 he goes to an event where the #1 dj in the island the legendary Dj Baron Lopez was performingJoey Velez was so impress by it that he still talks about it untill this date at the age of 32. That night for the first time Joey watched live mixing by the legendary dj and was so amazed he buys his first records and starts practicing. Soon enough him and his starts doing little party in the neightborhood call "party de marquesina"(a garage partys) a famous thing to do in the island back in the 80's and becomes the neightborhood dj. In 1991 in the Techno era influence by famuos djs like Baron Lopez,Pablo Flores,Junior Vasquez,Red Alert and many others... Joey Velez becomes involved in the world of electronic dance music. Soon an enough in 1998 he visits the great city of Miami. He visit one of the hottest club at the time call "Shadow Lounge" where the legendary George Acosta had a residency and gets blown away by the music that night. Sure enough Joey Velez music takes a drastic turn. Know after all these years Joey Velez have devolope a career in the world of trance music and has become one of the trance mixologist in the world. Have holds residency at very well respectable clubs in Miami like Soho Lounge,Blue Lounge just to name a few and had performed toghether with great artist in the best clubs in the area. The creator of a famous web radio show called "Senseless Sessions" and "Sounds of Belcan".
