About Me

Based out of Long Beach California, the DIBS were formed by musicians from many different bands to support the songwriting of frontman Chris Hanlin. Eventually the group grew to six members, and began to be jokingly referred to as "the Traveling Wilburys of Long Beach". They are eclectic and encompass many different musical styles. The band is equally at home in acoustic-based vocal harmony ensembles, as well as electric sets that can degenerate into mayhem. The band refuses to be categorized. The main thread tying it all togther is a common love of music and good songwriting, and a mutual respect and admiration for each other.

Good luck Bix!

The first time I met Brett Bixby, I wondered to myself, "who the hell is this little surfer kid, and why is he on my lawn?" It was about 1994 or so, and I was living in a house in Signal Hill, Califo...
