About Me

MY PAGE Hello World. It’s J to the A to the...well you know the rest. I started making music seriously almost 2 years ago and I started rapping seriously 1 year ago. I’ve always been rapping though, you know like when you young and you be trying to spit and shit...that’s what I use to do. Many people say Biggie, Tupac, Nas, Jay-Z or the other heavy hitters in the game(or use to be in the game) got them into rap. For me it was Talib Kweli. The song was that I heard was "Love Language" but I didnt hear it on Reflection Eternal. I heard it on the Disappering Acts soundtrack(you know...that movie Wesley Snipes and Sanaa Lathan starred in). Since then I was like man that dude hot and I want to rap. The only thing is I didn’t have the confidence to rap in front of people. I was different and still is so that just made me more nervous. Who wanted to hear about a boy fusing street life with games, comic books and Dragonball Z, nobody but now that shit cool...Nerds always previal. Soon after though me and my boy started our own lil’ rap team. June & J-Dessi(I was J-Dessi). He was the only dude that I felt comfortable to rhyme with. Even though I wanted to rap because of Talib Kweli, I never sounded like him. I was interested in how (Big)Pun was spittin’. He’s nasty...take this rhyme for example from "Dream Shatter","I’m pure adrenaline, uncut, straight to your gut, medicine Raw cure for pain I coat your brain like polyeurathane Simple and plain, I’ll explain it in layman terms If you came to learn how to make fire, I’m-a make it burn! Higher and hotter than lava this scholar is ’bout just as smart as MacGyver." You can’t tell me that shit is not hot lol. So I normally would listen to them, D.I.T.C., and mainly NORE. I didn’t find out about Big L and who he was exactly until my 9th grade year but I was listening to him since 6th grade...so strange. NORE was my favorite rapper, THAT NIGGA JUST DIDNT CARE and he was nice, still is though. Even though I was afraid to rhyme in front of people I always rapped just in case if I ever decided to rhyme.
I’m breaking this up for you can read either or and not forget your place. This one is about me getting into production. I use to watch my brother make beats at our grandmother place every night I came from basketball practice. He was using Fruity Loops too. At that time Dreamcast was out so I just played that and let him do what he do. I tried and I really was disliking it. No patience at alllllll but it wasnt’t my brother who got me into making beats. It was composers. I just love the way they construct alllll those instruments to make beautiful music. That’s crazy. So ya boy do listen to classical music just in case if you didn’t know that. During my 11th year I decided that I wanted to make beats. With me and my computer knowledge, time to hit up the net for some ummm 8 finger and 2 thumbs discounts lol. I got FL(Fruity Loops) and I started playing around with it. At that point of time I wasn’t use to sitting at the comupter hours and hours unlike now. So I would just quit. Stop making a beat and go outside to hoop or play some games. Anime was still a big factor and I was drawing here and there. I’ll say all in all my 11th and 12th grade year. I probably made like 15 beats combined, lol that shit is horrible. During the summer though I’ve made more and started to dress how IIIIII wanted to dress. Them long ass t-shirts just wasn’t me lol. Soon I was in college as a Music Major. During that time my sister had a friend by the name of Khalil. He was over and I started blasting my beats(i always did this on the low to see what people thought lol) and he was like yo, thats hot son. I got a boy named Moproducto that I should introduced you to. Since then it was a rap. I met Moe and started producing like up to 5 tracks a day. Then eventually he heard me rap and he said I got it, I just have to work on my style a lil bit better and my timing. My song Who’s Right(produced by Khalil) was my first recording. My beats were strange as fuck and if not that just regular but my "Taste" beat stood the FUCK OUT. People loved it and enjoyed it. I was toooooo happy. Now almost 2 and half years later I’m still on my deem making that crizzack lol.
I’m really trying to get my own style with beats. I don’t want to sound like the next man you know? Everybody gets compared but it’s a difference to being compared and sounding just like that nigga. So i’m steadily tryin to improve myself with that and even rap. With rap I can’t change with what I know. People before was saying I sound like Kanye now its Lupe. I don’t knock them for saying that but NIGGA PLEASEEEEE I’VE BEEN SPITTIN LIKE THAT(smiles and laugh). With my music I just hope to make it somewhere and leave a good impact on the world...besides me getting into Biotechnology, music to me...is the best way to help the world. So with that said, Goodnight People...Peaceeee.
