About Me
I always wanted to do this, even when I was a kid. The moment I picked up my first bass, way back in October 1987, I knew this was what I wanted to do for a living. Twenty years on and it's still what makes me happiest. It's been a wonderful, and at times, weird journey to all sorts of foreign shores but I've been very fortunate to work with, and for, some fantastic people and musicians: Bonnie Tyler, Mark Shaw (Then Jerico), Toyah Willcox, Jamie Moses (Queen+Paul Rodgers, The Brian May Band, Mike & The Mechanics), Tony Kiley (Chris De Burgh, Blow Monkeys, George Michael), Dom Brown (Duran Duran, Sugababes), Adam Wakeman (Annie Lennox, Travis, Victoria Beckham), Don Airey (Deep Purple, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne, Gary Moore), Steve Newman (Newman), Jemima Price, Chris Banks (Busted, Matt Willis, Sophie Ellis-Bextor), Steve Overland (FM, So!, Shadowman), John Miller (St. Etienne, Belinda Carlisle, Gabrielle), Keith Airey (Tom Jones, Nik Kershaw, Mama Mia), Paul Guerin (The Quireboys, Michael Schenker, The King). I'm not tied to any manufacturers as such but I've enjoyed a 10 year relationship with PICATO STRINGS, I'm finding EBS AMPLIFICATION is still rocking my boat after 5 years and basswise, I use what does the job best for any given song or project. I'm also a regular reviewer for BASS GUITAR MAGAZINE here in the U.K. I just hope the next twenty years continues to open up new opportunities and friendships along the way. Rock on!
