I am a freelance drummer based in London. Over the past 12 years I have recorded on international album releases, headlined major European festivals, toured extensively throughout Asia, Europe and the States and made live television and radio appearances all over the world.
Despite finally settling in London in 1995 (via L.A. and Bristol) a large part of my work was based in the US with the act Jai - both recording and promoting his 1997 release Heaven (RCA). I then joined Saint Etienne's touring band promoting their album Good Humor (Creation) worldwide before recording and touring the follow-up Sound Of Water (Mantra). I also recorded on a number of US-only EP releases with them (Sub-Pop). I then toured with ex-Stranglers' lead singer and chief songwriter Hugh Cornwell, taking in Europe, the UK and the US. I began working with Planet Funk (Virgin/Italy) when they took their top 10 album Non Zero Sumness out live and toured extensively in Italy on festival and headline tours as well as in Australia and across Europe. I also recorded on their follow-up album The Illogical Consequence. During that time I also began doing live gigs and promotional work with Kym Marsh, Belinda Carlisle and Gabrielle. I have also performed with artists such as David McAlmont, Suggs, Boney M, Then Jerico and Toby Bourke. I am a founder member of the band The Yards .
The Yards have been in existence since 2002, touring with acts such as Arthur Lee's Love as well as headlining several UK tours. In 2005 The Yards (Industrial Erotica/Snapper) became our first full length release, following on from previous EPs that had sold out in the UK and Japan.
Recent studio work has included mixing The Yards' second album, recording Gold's debut album with producer Fraser Smith at Sawmills studio in Cornwall and recording Phil Campbell's album After The Garden at Olympic Studios with producer Andy Bradfield. Recent live work has included European touring with Jon Regen (US), Phil Campbell and A&M artist Dan Black .
