Sønn av skogen was founded by the only member Stríðslávarður in August 2006.
"Sønn av skogen" means "Son of woods" in Norwegian and shows Stríðslávarður's philosophy. Indeed Stríðslávarður feels like the son of woods, that is to say that he feels closer to nature than to modern human world. For him the human is only an animal, who should feel like a part from nature. He's naturally a heathen above all.
Sønn av skogen is a very cold and very dark misanthropic melancholic black metal band.
The lyrics from the band are of course Misanthropy but also Hatred, Dying nature, Germanic/Nordic Heathenism, Nationalism, Sadness and Nostalgy.
Lyrics were written in German and in English.
And in 2008 the demo "Sehnsucht nach der Vergangenheit" will release.
