Legenda

About Me

Legenda is a one man pagan metal project from Szekszárd, Hungary. I've been writing songs for this project since late 2007, and recorded a home made demo in January 2008. The lyrics are in Hungarian, and are about my nation's history, myths and pride, sometimes in allegorical form.
The essence of Legenda is the message of my ancestors through shadowy centuries. The battlecry of a nomad warrior charging the enemy on the steppe. The oath of a chieftain as he sheds his blood to seal the allience between the Hungarian tribes. The sigh of a tired rider as he gazes upon his new home from the Pass of Verecke. And of course, the message of that what is above us all: nature. You'll hear them if you listen carefully, and you'll understand what they are saying.
Legenda is a tribute to the old, a mournful elegy for the long forgotten. Do not forget them, who died for their home, their children, their beliefs, for they are the true heroes, not the pityful idols of the modern world. Remember them, and follow their ways, so we, their children may one day be worthy of their heritage.
