About Me

^^^Please Check Out The New Blog!!!^^^
Dear Friends and/or Lovers of Tricycle Bicycle Cycle,
The Tricycle is the unedited, joyful, creative play and wonderment of childhood.
The Bicycle is the adolescent, self-aware, performative act of identity-formation.
We endeavor to engage in a constant Cycle between the two, growing from one to the other and cycling back again!
The Tricycle Bicycle Cycle is an absurd vehicle, a multi-wheeled chimaera. We employ preposterous means to get where we want to go!
.....
Folks, is it cooler to be honest in this section, to explain your intentions as a group and say something like, "I just don't know why people like us," etc; or is it better to put up the facade of a performative troupe of gurus and shamans, travelling the land in search of a better place for both mind and spirit? We here at Tricycle Bicycle Cycle believe in compromise! Synthesis! The Spirit of Giving! Therefore, we've compiled a list of FOUR universal facts concerning our band, our intentions, and our loves.
01. Tricycle Bicycle Cycle is built on the premise that fun is had, whether by us, or those gleefully engaged in our whimsical dance of life, or both. Either way, we're pretty cool with it.
02. Tricycle Bicycle Cycle does not believe that our music should cost a cent. Therefore, the collection of recordings associated with the band can be obtained at www.tricyclebicyclecycle.org for just about as free as free can be!
03. Tricycle Bicycle Cycle is an entire experience, not only a commercial commodity. The commercial products of Tricycle Bicycle Cycle are manufactured as limited-edition pressings of media, which have inherent value as artifacts, as well as works of art. The cost for such items and works is meant to merely cover the production costs.
04. Tricycle Bicycle Cycle is for all of us. Don't keep it to yourself. In fact, give it to people like the plague. Mom's especially seem to like us. We have that edgy 45-year-old housewife market totally cornered, I guess. So tell your Mom, okay? Immediately!
...And I'm sad to say this concludes our time together. I hope you've enjoyed learning about Tricycle Bicycle Cycle as much as I have! So until next time, keep listening boys and girls, and we promise to keep you on your toes!
We, the Men and Women of Tricycle Bicycle Cycle, Thank You for Your Time, Consideration, and Love!!!

Band Members: We may not be together anymore, but we're still happy to share the music that we created over a nine month period with you. Although every musical effort may not be successful, this one was at least meaningful to the handful of folks who really dug it. We'd like to extend very sincere gratitude to the people who made our brief run possible, and as well an invitation to new fans to embrace the manic insanity that was once TBC. At least you can rock out in your car to it, okay? Thanks, folks.

Influences: As of now, Tricycle Bicycle Cycle exists in a non-physical universe, exploring the depths of the unknown within our own minds. Please feel free to keep up your support for the physical state of TBC, for you can never be sure when a return from the unreal might take place. Peace to all y'all.

Tricycle Bicycle Cycle is the bastard child of psychedelic rock, powerpop song structures, and our own current generational energy that flows between the various extremes of the band's musical influences.
Not merely willing to be pinned down as a "pop" band, Tricycle Bicycle Cycle includes a vast spectrum of stylistic choices, which in turn shape the band itself. The more diverse the project becomes, the more diverse its output, and vice versa.
The individuals who make up Tricycle Bicycle Cycle are both aware of and are currently emotionally involved in many different forms, categories, and understandings of the term "music." Furthermore, each member has a unique grab bag of mind-bending experiences and fleeting moments of wisdom which contribute to the overall sound that the group achieves.
The synthesis of these radically different perspectives has come to create the sometimes-angelic, sometimes-bestial creature of pure beauty known to the world merely as Tricycle Bicycle Cycle.
In fact, Tricycle Bicycle Cycle is almost hardly a band, and almost entirely a collective effort of thought which is employed in a manner that relies heavily on individual, over-the-top expressions of joy and happiness. This wealth of emotional expression that Tricycle Bicycle Cycle broadcasts overcomes the melancholia and depressive outlooks of much of today's "fine art," and embraces the spontaneous, ecstatic, and invigorating parts of our lives that we "love", while acknowledging that "all may not be well." Paranoia only leads to vapidity and carelessness in terms of honest self expression, a personal and collective goal of Tricycle Bicycle Cycle, and thus an artistic leaning towards celebration and glee is employed so that the collective may continue to produce in exciting new creative forms.
In short, Tricycle Bicycle Cycle is an ever-expanding, ever-changing, ever-whatever band of motley performers who find it difficult to rectify the supposition that there is a difference between being a band and a performance art troupe; and do so without exasperating the current socio-musical climate through the coverage of violent, pronographic, or drug-related images, but seek to focus on the grander things of life: the magical secrets of the universe; the cosmic interrelation of all creatures, as well as the recognition of distinctions within all matter; and the personal forms of expression that identify those that are having the experience with those that are fervently creating such an experience.
The general outcome of such a process is the creation of a deep love, one that allows both parties to recognize each other simply for what they are: semi-divine creatures walking the thin line of a consciousness shift that will catapult our world and all that we know into a higher pitch of intensity and brilliance. So, it is our pleasure that without further adieux, we may bring you the supreme glory, flat notes and all, of TRICYCLE BICYCLE CYCLE!
