About Me

Even though, being 2008, one may consider Brian Dolzani a ’pop singer’, with his acoustic guitar, concise, temptingly singable songs and strong vocals, there is still enough residue left over from his 60’s and 70’s rock musical upbringing to keep him well out of the often saccharine and usually too-smooth current singer/songwriter set.
Brian is a rock songwriter, who’s voice and songs carry the day whether he is playing solo and intimate or rocking electric with his band. Warm and inviting, fragile and assured, reaching and true, Brian’s voice is unmistakably recognizable.
Supporting his current CD ’Compass’, performing songs such as ’In California’ and ’Swimming Around You’, Brian is taking audiences by surprise, making them crave an artist they didn’t realize they needed. Brian has an easy and open stage presence, one that focuses on performing his songs well and intuitively connecting with the audience.
Brian first picked up a guitar at age 15, coinciding with the loss of his father in a car accident. His loss, sudden confusion, and instability were channeled naturally into music, giving him an outlet for his deft imagination and creative spirit. Compass is his fourth independent CD release, and the second consecutive record to feature his one-man band recording ethic, producing, playing, and mixing the entire record in his home studio. He plays shows solo and with his band, covering his native New England, and traveling to cities such as Atlanta, San Diego, Philadelphia, and Nashville. Brian grew up in southwestern Connecticut, where he lives today with his wife and two small children.
