It was the summer of 2004. We had nothing to do, we lived in a punk house in, the then..still, troubled part of New Brunswick. New Brunswick, to many means getting shipped off to college, finding yourself in a scene full of free thinkers and contributors, etc. Fuck that. We drank beer, watched TV, enjoyed drugs, sex, and worked miserable jobs. Going to school wasn't an option because we didn't care to. The band we played in (dead heros, dread fabrik) were on hiatus. Bandless for us was like living without water and we had an intense urge to play a unique style of punk rock not evident on the current punk circuit.
And then the band started. A quick call to Mr. Christofer Calabrese (the gallows) ensured us two things; a second guitarist, and a practice spot for the next two years. Chris had a room mate who was becoming grafted to a yellow chair in their living room. For the sake of his health (and good looks) he became our singer. We belted out hits left and right, so help me god! Shows came along, we played them, were briefly accepted, and BAM! broke up. A month later we traded drummers within our element and committed career suicide graciously on June 4th 2005 before a limp audience at Asbury Lanes. Recollected and on the booze wagon we resorted to our orig. members and completed the task of recording a demo. It was a great demo and we had extensive fantasies of playing shows that were cut short by our drummer having to hang out with his girlfriend. Hey, she was afterall, like 17.
So yet again we had to shuffle members. We had already recruited the sauve capabilities of PESS, and also landed on Mr. Sean Bell. Sean (ex Facialz) was known throughout the world as the soul visionary who compiled the artwork for his once band's demo 'facial humiliation'. It was his MASSIVE talents that led to our BIG comeback (yes girls, exactly what your thinking.. and hes the quiet one).
We played shows, drank alot again, got ignored by everyone, and enjoyed it. Quite honestly, seeing the five of us in a room together is very much like seeing a bunch of 15 year olds discovering reefer for the first time. Thats the most accurate summary of our band I can think of.
So we recorded our first 7", after veteran talent gambler/record label owner, Chris of Loud Blaring Punk Rock suggested we do so. We'll play any time, any place, for nothing.. just get in touch - we only want to have fun. And be LOUD!
