Bring it Fierce!!!!

About Me

The Damien Pratt began in 1994 when the Nevertheless broke up (1990-1995). Damien resided in Connecticut for most of those years and ran Connecticut's only indie rock bed and breakfast, hosting and sharing the bill with such acts as Low, Apples in Stereo, Archers of Loaf, Tuscadero, The Softies, Blond Redhead, and Velocity Girl to name a few. Damien moved down to NYC in 1998 where he played with various musicians which made up The Damien Pratt collectively. Damien formed The Squeaky Fromme in 2004 with Nina, Dave jr and Brother Jim and released an EP called PHOTOGRAPHY. Damien in these various incarnations played such venues as Brownies (rip), Mercury Lounge, Luna Lounge, Cake Shop, Sidewalk Cafe, CB's Gallery, Sin-e (rip), and Pianos to name a few.

REVIEWS:

"Damien goes it alone on stage and frequently evokes less weighty moments of Robin Zander and/or Marshall Crenshaw's oeuvres regardless. His good natured clowing while lamenting baby birds fallen from nests doesn't hurt"

- Chuck Eddy Village Voice

"...Great Big Star/Guided By Voices inspired songwriting, great musicianship (almost all by Pratt) and some wonderful instrumentation. Pratt's Voice complements his songs, it has a lot of range and can handle both slow intimate songs as well as revved up powerpop"

-Shredding Paper

"...Give Pratt a Casio keyboard and he produces a bouncy, soul singing number that could give Mdnite-Vultures-era Beck a run for his Hollywood money..."

-Fairfield Weekly

"...These tunes, most likely holdovers from Damien's solo run, help frame the band's delicate side and give a good idea of the breadth of their artistic and dynamic range. The wild diversity is reminiscent of The Replacements' Hootenanny, tough far less sloppy..."

-Cincinnati Citybeat

"..you're a self-centered cocksucker, you know that?"
