before my hands
as he reached out to touch them again
tell me he has realized
that telling of my secrets
is what he envied
and feared he needed to do
that the crucifixion I gave
he tried to shame
he could have avoided
if only he were true
that with your real
your flaw
you give that chance to see
refusal and love
and that's how you have your proof
that love is the goal
your family
that you wanted all of that
with me
except to show you
