I am a mildly neurotic young professional in search of fulfillment and the occasional theme party.I never thought I would end up in the midwest. Originally from North Carolina, I just finished my first year working at the University of Illinois. I'm kind of geeky. I like gadgets and computers and wasting time on the internet.

I enjoy dancing, though I haven't done enough of it lately.

My academic pursuits include urban planning, queer theory, social justice, and digital culture.
I tend to rebel against all things things mainstream. So, if it lives in the fringes of society, i'm likely interested. Music
My music tastes change frequently because I am on a constant quest to discover new artists. Recent finds include Duffy, The Presets, and Mylo.

Movies

House of Yes (or anything else with Parker Posey), Shortbus, Girls Will Be Girls. I like campy b-movies, gory horror, and the occasional adventure flick. I also like movies that are easily quotable.

Television

Ok, here is where I betray my anti-mainstream sensibilities: Project Runway, House, Big Love, Lost, Ugly Betty, Heroes, Desperate Housewives, dance competitions (not the celebrity kind), and political humor.
