A Brief History

The Flying Buttresses v.1 formed in Albany, NY in 1996. It's members were The Baron on Bass, Dr. Pretentious on Guitar, The Kernal Daniel Sin playing percussion and Incubus Pryme as the vocalist.

In 1998, the band parted ways with two of its members (the Baron and the Dr.) moving down to NYC where The Flying Buttresses v.2 reformed. The Dread Mistress joined in, playing the keyboards and Frauline took over the percussion. They went thru several vocalists but all sucked.

The Dr. & Dread Mistress soon returned to Albany while the Baron moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana and played bass for Kali Yuga .

The Baron returned to Albany, NY in the summer of 2002 and The Flying Buttresses v.2 reunited and set about looking for a new lead vocalist. In September 2002 MechAngel Megatron joined in as the vocalist. After a full year of being placed in The Flying Buttresses as part of an assimilation program, she was returned to the underground clinic she had been released from.

In October of 2003 The Elusive Lady Serpentine joined in as the new vocalist forming The Flying Buttresses v.4. Soon afterward, Harry Bastard was acquired to assist in percussion duties. In October of 2005, The Dread Mistress Morgain and Dr. Pretentious had their first spawn. Dread Mistress Morgain performed her last show in May, 2005 at Pennyfit. Darquis de Sade joined the band in November of 2005 but left in March of 2006 to pursue his career.

In February 2007, The Flying Buttresses broke up. Thanks to everyone who supported us through the years.
