Steven, Jason, Alex, and that guy-MeatCurtainJason Ballew, The bass was my first call to arms, playing now for over 17 yrs, my rig includes: ESP 5 stirng, Jackson 5 string, Fender 4 string, and a Washburn 4 string. I use a GK 1001 RB bass head, with a BagEnd 1x18, and alternate between an SWR 1x15, Crate 1x15, or GK 4x10 depending on what I want to fall off the wall. I play bass with my fingers ONLY! This may seem odd considering that now I also play guitar. I've been playing guitar for several years now, yes with a pick (I like to ues the rite tool for the rite job), and find I like the Dunlop Jazz III's the best. We only use 7 string guitars in MeatCurtain, so I only own 7 string guitars! My two main hammers (i call it a hammer because the B string is so crushing!) are an Ibanez RG stopback with Semore Duncan Distortion pickups, and my much beloved Halo 'Rohdes style V with double locking Floyd Rose. My rig consists of a Crown CE1000 power amp, POD XT LIVE, 480 watt B-52 4x12 cab, and Furman power conditioner. I like to run it in bridged-mono mode, which produces somewhere on the order of 1150 watts. It's sik, REALLY! I love it when the bass hits hard enough to make the drunk people fall over, and puke! At the age of twelve, I received my first guitar lesson. From there, I was in various musical situations. The most prosperous situation being Arcanum, a progressive metal band. With that in the pocket, I discovered engineering and producing my own music was more satisfying. It has become more fulfilling than anything before. The newest project, MeatCurtain, is the most true example of where we are coming from.
