Yeah I spelled Chrissie and Galactica wrong but I was highI am in Somerville Massachusetts and I wear headphones a lot. I like starbursts. I like skittles. I organize music for fun. I make a superfont called Fixedsys Excelsior. 3.00 is nearly done. FIXEDSYS EXCELSIOR 3.01 IS COMPLETE . I used to work at Tower Records and I really liked it. Then I worked at Newbury and I didn’t. I play videogames sometimes but not lately. I’m working on a second sort of Fixedsys, with a different audience in mind.neat me facts: * I work at my fourth record store now, but unlike the others, it’s a used shop * I like the color red, and I like the colors black & yellow * I am Geena on the Remora server on Final Fantasy XI online * I can write with the Arabic script. I don’t speak or read Arabic or Persian or Urdu or any other language at all except English. Maybe someday I will learn. * I want a cat kitten ... do you have one to get rid of? * I can recite the poem Jabberwocky from memory. * Nobody understands why I don’t like “Family Guy.†* Well maybe Corey did actually. * hmm.Alright so let’s go over it again: music, fonts/writing systems, videogames. That’s likes & hobbies & interests which I think is probably the best place to start now (I tried to avoid it before because everyone says the same things and it creeps me out). Some light non-hobby about-me trivia anyway: I often rely on analogies when I am talking. I am told that I always sound like I know what I am talking about even when I don’t but it is not on purpose, sorry for the confusion.I would like to meet people up here. I (pretty much) only know my friends who I live with and my co-workers. I’m near Davis Square.FEBRUARIUS MMVII: Everyone got ready for the Royal Food Festival. I loved it, but the subsequent Eternal Food Festival dissipated in a light breeze. Johan went back upstairs and Thor and I returned to a smoky stupor. Bill got more diseasy and sad and Meredith and Tito got a Mooninite-brite (wow). MARCHITARION MMVII: My brother got married. I am on Long Island now briefly and I feel bad because I wish I was visiting the people I know who live here, like Lara and Johnny O. But we’ve been continuously busy here with family which is a good excuse. But I always have a good excuse so that’s dumb too. My neck is totally unbroken now and I am resuming more normal work hours. I should now be able to prevent falling further into debt, or at least make the descent way slower. Does anyone want to pay me a lot of money to do something?I think March mostly sucked so much, except for this last part because I released Fixedsys 3, got my desk in my room and saw the first three episodes of PLANET EARTH in HD and it changed the way I look at lava/baboons/shark bites/snow leopards/mountains etc forever. And Thor seems to be finally adjusting to post-Corey life and is no longer constantly seething with diffuse frustration.APRILLIANCE MMVII I am learning how to make devanagari opentype fonts, and gurmukhi, gujarati, etc. Just you wait. Also, April should be cool for other reasons, don’t want to jinx it. Also Also Also, it is springtime.MAY 2007 Yesterday I started planting things (cucumbers, flowers). And a few weeks ago I started working at Planet in Harvard Square. After Tower I thought it would be impossible to find a job I liked but Planet is great. I think I am getting sick from eating only dairy but I have no regrets: I left out cheese though by accident.
