Hello, I am Noybel Gorgoy, a singer, a dancer, a pianist and a songwriter.  I was born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba , and from a very young age I always wanted to be an artist.  I began to sing and dance in kindergarten.  At the age of 7, I was accepted at “EVA”, Pinar del Rio ’s school of art and I became one of the soloists in the school's female choir.  I performed in various festivals which were held at the National University of Havana, and did many recordings that played in Cuba's national radio station - "Radio Progreso”, this gave me a solid beginning and it provided me with the inspiration to start on other projects.  It was during that time that something told me this was the path I was going to follow the rest of my life… I wanted to be a musician…   As I became more involved with music, I decided to sign up with the national school of arts “ENA” in Havana .  I studied traditional and contemporary harmony enrolled in advanced piano lessons, as well as classes about the theory and history of music.   I began working with true masters of choir, people like Digna Guerras, the Director of the Cuban National Choir, and also director of "Entre Voces".  I also worked with Maria Felicia, the Director of "Exaudi", and I attended many different presentations at the "Amadeo Roldan Theater".  Once I graduated from “ENA” I enrolled in an even more advance school called “ISA”, there I began my opera preparation and at the same time I was exposed to various musical experiences with orchestras and important figures in Cuban music.    My first project was with "Doble Sabor", a female orchestra in which I was one of the lead singers.  I also worked with musicians like "Leo Vera", being part of his concert, "Axel Tosca Laugart" doing concerts in Havana and later on we worked together in Las Vegas, I have worked with "Irving Frontela", he is a musician of Juan Formel y los Van Van, "Roman Filiu", "Azucar Negra" with whom I went on a national tour and got a chance to travel to Europe.  I have been a part of “Reyes 63" supporting with choirs, as well as collaborated with "Vocal Leo", "The Polyphonic Choir", "Polito Ibanes", and "Lin Milanez".  I have worked with my true inspiration my Father “Noel Gorgoy", which was a true honor and I cherish those moments deep in my heart.  And participated as an invited guest in one of Cuba ’s best TV show called "23 y M" sharing the stage with artists like "Leo Vera", "Tania Pantoja" from Bamboleo and "Chispa y los Complices".  In addition to all this, I have performed with "Yaquelin Castellanos", "Charanga Habanera", "Van Van" and "Ray Turner". "   I recorded “Suave Y Pegao” with “Calle 66” this record was called “La Nueva Onda Cubana" an album specifically created with the new talents during that time and it was produced by "Forward SRL Universo SPA in Italy", with this song I appeared on the TV show "Super 12", and it was also on many radio stations as part of the top 10 songs of that time.    In 2004 I auditioned and became Azucar Band’s lead singer.  With Azucar Band I toured in Europe as part of the famously known show called "Lady Salsa".    Presently I form part of the cast of "Havana Night the Show”.  Performing at the Stardust Hotel and Casino.  During one of our tours in the USA a DVD was created showing one of our performances in Miami at the University Arena this DVD features me as one of the main singers of the show.   I am glad to see you have visited my page.  Enjoy the music, leave me a note, but most of all… Enjoy yourself and don’t forget to dance …suave y pegaito…   Carinos,   Noybel
