About Me

POTATOE FAMINE started one day when chris and devin decided they wanted to do a st patties day gig. we wanted to cover dropkick murpheys and flogging molly. we picked up richard along the way. st. patties came and went and we decided that we wanted to continue the group because we were having too much fun. we started writing our own music and the fun just kept going. we got to the point where we decided we liked what we were doing. we figured we would keep playing, and if people liked it, they liked it. if they didn't like it, fuck 'em. we got lucky because people wanted us to keep playing. that's our story. then, one day chris decided that he needed to move on. well, that's when devin and richard decided to go electric full time. so, they pulled in ben on bass because, well, ben's canadian and canadians are nice (oh, and he really knows how to play the bass). and then chris moved up from california after leaving his band, inspector 77; so we had our drummer. so here we are, playing full throttle, punk-irish-pirate-folk-whatever the fuck it is- music.
