About Me


Vegetative State is a small recording studio working with local artists to produce their music at affordable rates. Operated by Stan Keightley, who has spent most of his life working with music and making recordings, was originally inspired as a youth by his Grandfather's violin and sax playing. Vegetative State is equiped to record up to 20 tracks simultaneously at 24bit using state of the art software and great new (RME, Chameleon Labs) as well as vintage analog (UREI) equipment. The mic locker includes Soundeluxe, AKG, Oktava, Red, Audio-Technica, Shure, MXL, EV, and Cascade Microphones. Also available is a compliment of instruments featuring vintage Gibson, Fender and Ibanez guitars as well as a number of modern electric guitars, Martin acoustic, mandolin and banjo, Roland and Nord Keyboards and a host of virtual instruments. Session players can be arranged for at your request.
