Deric Battiste, professionally known as DJ D-Wrek, is a nationally recognized DJ, Television Host, and Producer. A native of Northern California, Deric built his reputation, in his teens, as an MC and Hip-Hop dancer which eventually led him to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music, television, and film. Upon moving to Los Angeles Deric landed a recording contract, and began producing music for artists such as Nick Cannon, Li’l Romeo, and others. In the process of recording and producing music, he became a sought after performance DJ enhancing stage and television performances of many artists including: E-40, Christina Milian, and Nick Cannon. Deric is the resident DJ and co-host of the hit MTV show “Wild’n Outâ€, and can be seen energetically backing up the show’s host, Nick Cannon, on a weekly basis. Deric can also be seen in recent commercials for Boost Mobile and ad campaigns for LRG.
