BIOGRAPHY
Jerome “Smoke†Caldwell has always been considered a character with the diversity to play dramatic as well as comedic roles. Acting was a skill he honed as a child; consequently developing his talent within the drama department of his High School. The stage seemed like familiar territory so he aggressively pursued the business with passion and drive. Born and raised in Oakland, California, he continuously overcame adversity, but was discouraged by the lack of big screen opportunities; leading him to quit his high paying corporate job to move Los Angeles and fulfill his dream of acting. Although he missed his wife dearly, local theater performances brought rave reviews from the audience, which gave Caldwell the confidence to continue to audition for on screen roles. He celebrated his first booking after twenty casting directors simply said "No." Moving forward, Caldwell's career blossomed into several roles from independent films to television dramas and commercials, eventually earning him a spot in the union.
Caldwell is currently an acting coach, specializing in commercial technique, for children ages six to sixteen in the San Francisco Bay Area. His ultimate goal is to own a successful production company that produces films, commercials, and theatrical plays. Caldwell is interested in a diversity of roles and hopes to play a young superhero in the future. Jerome is constantly working to improve his craft and accepts nothing but the best of what life has to offer.
