I'm a lawyer, a musician (drummer) and a photographer (well, at least I used to be one) but certainly, I'm a music lover. Most of all I listen to Prog! (progressive rock). All the classics: Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant, King Crimson, ELP, Rush, PFM, Banco, Nektar, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, Eloy, UK, Triumvirat, Led Zep (not prog but mmmm so good!), Kansas, Styx, 801,Roxy Music, Jethro Tull, Queen, Camel, Pink Floyd... to name a few.
And new prog: The Flower Kings, Spock's Beard, Echolyn, Transatlantic, Porcupine Tree, OSI, Liquid Tension Experiment, Izz, Deux Ex Machina, Anglagard, Isildur's Bane, Kaipa, Karmakanics, Tomas Bodin, The Tangent, Parallel or 90 Degrees, Enchant, IQ, Miriodor, Dream Theater, Little Atlas, CGT, Frogg Cafe, Pinnacle, Frost, Universe Zero, A.C.T., Sylvan, Alias Eye, Cryptic Vision, Niacin, Helmet of Gnats, Cosmosquads, Anyone's Daughter, RPWL, Ritual, Gourishankar, you get the picture...
Even though Prog was and still is my first love, I also enjoy jazz, fussion and classical music. Classical, well, that's a really tough one, but Bach, Chopin, Brahms, Bartock, Ravel, Vivaldy, Beethoven, Schumann, Lizt,Wagner, Schubert, Mozart, Tchaicovsky, Haydn... etc
I cannot leave Da Funk out!: James Brown, Parliament Funkadelic, Tower of Power, Screaming Headless Torsos, The Aquarian Rescue Unit, Spin Doctors, Nerve...
On the lighter side, I've always enjoyed pop music that's musically and/or lirically interesting: Kevin Gilbert (and all his projects, that is, Toy Matinee, Giraffe, Thud, Kaviar, Stanley Snail), Mike Keneally, Owsley, Mr. Mister, Boston, Bjorg, Kino, Collective Soul, Pearl Jam, STP, Toto, Creed, Devo, Steely Dan, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones...
