We are the lost the unseen....

About Me

Shitfire was formed in the summer of 2002 in North Little Rock Arkansas in Guitar/Vocalist Jay Lytle's house called Olive Street, a haven for underground metal bands putting on house shows for touring bands and providing a jam room to some killer locals. After a few lineup changes, the band settled into a four man metal doom assualt but with no name. The band did their first couple of shows and after hearing the term SHITFIRE!!! yelled enough while playing.... Shitfire was born. After releasing a couple of demos, shitfire starting playing more and more shows in and out of Arkansas opening for killer bands. These years have been spent cultivating a unique metal blend of sludge, doom, groove, stoner, punk, southern, progressive brutality with the vocals of an army screaming for the answers to the world, reflecting on growth from failure, and bringing the power to those ready for realization. The spastic guitar and commanding vocals of Jay Lytle, along with Mountain Mike Lawrence's crushing technical riffs, mixed with the warm growl of Alan Wells' doomy bass lines and added powerful vocals, all on top of Mike May's heavy rythmic grooves and intricate bass drum patterns truly readies you for the southern stlye mind voyage ass stompin. .. width="425" height="350"
