...AMiSS came together in Spring 2004, with a singular vision in mind: making rock music that doesn't suck. With a focus on combining progressive rhythms with melodic and energetic vocals and leads, we do our best to make touch on emotions and situations that an abundance of listeners can relate to.
We rocked out for the first time at the infamous Icehouse (R.I.P.) in Spring 2004, and have been playing numerous venues in the Wilmington/Wrightville Beach area ever since. We came out on top of the 2005 Wilmington Battle of the Bands at CityStage Theater (Level 5) and the Soapbox Upstairs. We had a great time with this event, playing with 24 great local and regional bands, in front of some killer crowds of fans, friends, and fam. We followed up with another friends contest victory in 2006 at the same venue. This time we got a free music video shoot with Joe from Broken Wings Productions. We are currently in the pre-production process of the video...and it is going to be BAD ASS!!!
For now, we've been putting together some great new material lately for the release of our first full length album. We're always trying to progress in style and sound, and our newest songs will keep feet moving and heads bangin'. We're recording the full-length with Gregg Scott @ his studio @ Pyramid. We are really enjoying working with Gregg, he is really awesome, and definitely knows his shit when it comes to recording, on top of the fact that he is the freakin' man!!
We looking to have the album finished this fall 2006, and can't wait to infect all of Wilmington with the newest rawk of AMiSS...it's gonna be gOOd!!!! We are also looking into dropping a bomb on the region with this album by putting together an east coast tour and force-feeding AMiSS into the ears of the east side....
...don't forget to do your local scene ( and yourself ) a favor and get out there and support your local rock bands and venues to keep your local music scenes ALiVE!!!

We'd like to apologize for the temporary sound quality of our myspace songs. We are currently recording our first full-length album w/Gregg Scott at the moment, and the quality will be astronomically better...promise. But for now, we're making due with these older recordings and live tracks...so deal widit!!
