THE BIG F (They were a hype band from L.A. that was all over RIP magazine at the time and had every critic going gaga over them for awhile) GRANDMA MOSES (This was Todd from NASTY's new band (defore him and ROB started the McCRACKINS) FAKE IT BIG TIME (Randy Rampage and buddy from Ground Zeros new band at the time, think we played the ROCK CELLAR with them) ARAGATHOR (One of the asshole buddys of these clowns tried ripping off my $390 dollar RIPLEYS LEATHERS jacket at the time, found it stuffed down the tailgate of a pick-up truck) CRYPTOPSY (Played with these guys because they were friends of our good buddys DEAD CRONY from MONTREAL who ended up on HEROIN in New Westminister) THE EPITOMIES (This hardcore band from I don't know where whose contingent of skinhead fans proceeded to give up the finger our whole set) DEAD CRONY (The band so nice I mention them twice, this band consisted of SIX on vocals, MENT AL (guitar), SPACE JAY (bass) and NO LIP (drums), they were a great band to party with and were a cross between Sabbath and Slayer, RITUAL!!!!) REVOLUTION GONE (Had Jamie who went onto our good friends CRUSH GROOVE and they are all lost in space) AUGUST FROST (Played Hotel California on Granville for some dumb talent competition thing put on by CLOSET ROCK editor AMBER along with MINORITY. I think AF's drum set won the competition actually!) MINORITY (THey were this rap/rock deal with songs like KIDS DON'T BUY THE GUNS, this anti-gun thing that was kind of trendy at the time and pretty fucking funny when you're from VANCOUVER and not COMPTON) THORSEN (Dudes with viking helmets) PUZZLE PALACE (Played with these knobs in LA in 93 at RAJI'S and my god they were one of the worst bands I've ever seen,they were filming a video at the time with DO NOT CROSS police tape up in front of them, it was definetly a CRIME SCENE, that's for sure!) S.S.I.K. (KISS tribute band at 86th Street Music Hall with members from CAUSTIC THOUGHT, I believe) BASKETCASE (Played with these guys a few times, the singer Chris had some crazy tattoo on his back, wings or some shit) THE McCRACKINS (These are fun and continue to be fun, wrote an article about them for CLOSET ROCK magazine) CRUSH GROOVE (They took their name from the rap movie and played this kind of groove oriented that was meant to die, SORRY!! Funk Metal was quite big at the time and is thankfully forgotten!) BLACK DOGS OF DEPRESSION (This band would rather be forgotten by MIKE KROEGER or NICKLEBACK, it was one of his first along with BUDLEY HAMFIST jr (BRAD HAMMOND) and we played 3 nights at the OLD AMERICAN, myself with STREP THROAT, viva la aspirin and beer!) SAUCY JACK (Named after the never seen SPINAL TAP rock opera, this band was a volatile mix of too much drinking, drugs and violence that ended bad! Our current bass player IRISH TIM was in this nightmare) THE TORTURE ANIMALS (A DEAD CRONY off shoot with BRANT of Rubber Room fame, they dressed in white painting suits with hats and shit, it was pretty funny) THE INSIPIDS (At the F440 RaceTrack in Tsawassen) FACEPULLER (These guys were retarded LOUD, we opened for them upstairs at the LUNATIC FRINGE and they cleared the place out and everyone went downstairs. This was before the Fringe became THE ABYSS and the upstairs was a chinese KARAOKE bar. The bathroom was full of metalheads and Chinese gang members) TOAD LIQUOR (Don't remember much except these guys had a name dispute with some other band and had to change it) GALLAHADS PAD (These guys were from ONTARIO and we just talked to them last year about playing some festival that ain't happened) MUTANT STARFISH (Played THE ROCK CELLAR with these guys a couple of times and the singer always looked like buddy from BODY DOUBLE)
Sounds Like: A dumpster full of rats getting crushed in a giant vacuum!! Just kidding! Its metal and punk and a bit of Springsteen with that all important factor: A SENSE OF HUMOUR!!
