Basically anything I don't find cheezy (of course, I don't realize this until after I've wasted two hours of my life and $10.75). Currently lovin': Devdas, The Motorcycle Diaries, I "Heart" Huckabees, Paradise Now, Lagaan (yippee Netflix for having Bollywood), Munich, Stay, and Hard Candy (as disturbing as it was) -- Latest additions: Little Miss Sunshine, Half Nelson, The Science of Sleep, Volver (thanks to Greenie and another great Almodovar outing), Casino Royale, Pan's Labrynth, and, I can't believe I'm going to say this but ... Lady in the Water (I Heart M)
Lost, The L Word, and Dexter (only television I make time for). Faves will always be: Six Feet Under, Charmed, and Queer as Folk.
Arundhati Roy's The God of Small Things .... there is a gripping sense of melancholy and fruitless hope that just kills me ....
