See this lady below playing the theremin... that's Clara Rockmore. I would like to have met her, but she's dead. Hopefully she would've been able to teach me a thing or two on the old theremin. I bet she never lost an antenna.

They Might Be Giants, Depeche Mode, Flaming Lips, Emiliana Torrini, M.I.A, early Suede, Django Reinhardt, Blur, Bobbie Gentry, Devo, Pixies, R. Crumb, Death In Vegas
American Splendour, Woody Allen, Clockwork Orange, Harry Potter, Batman. There are lots of films I like. Hitchcock films too. Sometimes I will see a film I really don't like and will go on about it for ages, more so than films I do actually like. Hostel, for example. Do not watch it. Actually, watched IT for the first time in yonks the other day - crappest ending ever.
Documentaries about war, University Challenge (I feel smug when I get a question right), Hollyoaks (sorry), Mighty Boosh, The Office, a good period drama, Alan Partridge, Black Books, Green Wing, and that bit in You Are What You Eat where Gillian McKeith shows the person what they've eaten that week and its just a table full of kebabs and pies and curries. I love that bit.
Lots of books by lots of different people. Anthony Burgess is my favourite. Last book I read was The Growing Pains Of Adrian Mole by Sue Townsend, and at the moment I am reading Enderby's Dark Lady by Anthony Burgess
Clara Rockmore, R. Crumb.
