Myspace LayoutsLOOK! NEW STUFF! hmmmmm....where to start? I am happily married to my very best friend, Brynn. Well over 23 years now. Looking forward to Vegas for our 25th!We have 3 girls and 2 boys: Jamie is 27 and the mother of our adorable granddaughters, Madison and Mackenzie; Jessica is 22 and engaged to be married to Matthew in December; Jerred, my hilariously random son is 21; Jacob, the dread-head is 16; and hippie-chick Julie is 13.I am a student at KVCC, where I am waiting for a seat in the nursing program. Looks like that will happen in January '07. Over the past 4 years I have taken every medical and biology class available, as well as many communications, art, and music classes. I am lucky enough to have been a stay-at-home mom most of the time, although I have worked on and off when needed. I have been a factory rat, cashier, bookkeeper, photographer, and even did a stint running a video store way back when VCR's were the newest thing. I took some cake decorating classes years ago and have made well over a hundred all-ocassion and wedding cakes.Brynn set me up with my own karaoke business, Klassic Karaoke, about 6 years ago. I love it! What else can you do where you get to go out, have a few drinks, sing a few songs, and go home with money in your pocket? Our show is not your average karaoke! For the past couple of years Jessica has been my number 1 employee, and boy do we have FUN! Ocassionally we are wild and inappropriate (do you detect the sarcasm???). I have a wide variety of music so that anyone can find something to sing, but being a rocker at heart, I specialize in new and classic rock and roll. If you are a fan of karaoke, you'll love us. If not, try us out sometime, you just might change your mind, we put on a pretty good show. I NEED A JOB! ANY IDEAS?I have a 1966 Chevy Chevelle that is sweeeet! A couple of years ago my dad guided me through rebuilding the original engine, a 283. What a great time that was! (No sarcasm here...what a thrill to start up an engine you built.)Last year, I wanted more "go", so I put a 350 in it with some help from Brynn and Julie. I love my car...BUT IT'S GOING UP FOR SALE IN THE SPRING...BUY IT!.. Home | Browse | Search | Invite | Film | Mail | Blog | Favorites | Forum | Groups | Events | Videos | Music | Comedy | Classifieds

My Interests

Besides stuff already mentioned...I do a lot of volunteer work, sometimes I think too much. I am involved with the American Cancer Society. I have been the entertainment chairperson for Allegan County's Relay For Life the past 3 years. I serve on the Allegan Community Player's board of directors, where my latest thing is running their Texas Hold 'Em tournaments. NEXT ONE IS NOVEMBER 11th. CONTACT ME FOR MORE INFO. I help behind the scenes wherever I can and have performed in the past 3 Cabarets. Just finished Fog On The Mountain at the Griswold Auditorium. Fun show...it's being brought back November 18th & 19th. Check it out. This past summer, I was in the Portage Player's production of Pump Boys and Dinettes. I am a wannabe rocker...hence the karaoke business. I will do just about anything to sing for an audience. When I was asked to do back-up vocals for the original band, Porchlight, I jumped at the chance!

I'd like to meet:

Way too many people to list here...Johnny Depp, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Alice Cooper, Courtney Love (yeah, I know...), Lindsey Buckingham, Drew Barrymore. I could go on and on, but I'll stop for now.

Music:

Hard driving ROCK AND ROLL. I love it all, from my all-time favorites Led Zeppelin to some of the newer bands. Classic rock will always be number 1 in my heart, but there is really good new music out there. I tend to listen to lots of the mighty Zep, The Who, Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, The Doors, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Ozzy RULES...Puddle of Mudd, Staind, Alice In Chains, Audioslave, Hole, Foo Fighters, NIRVANA and my secret pleasure...don't laugh now...Meatloaf.I love the local music scene and hanging out with the folks from my favorite bands. I love the boys from Stonechamber, a great group of guys, fun, fun, fun. A close 2nd is MadWire. Sorry boys, I've known the chamber longer and hang with them more. NEWS FLASH...THE GAP IS GETTING SMALLER AND SMALLER -NOT!

Movies:

Anything with Johnny Depp...that is one sexy man! Brad Pitt in his younger days, although I'm not so fond of him lately. Mad Max, The Warriors, crazy stuff like that. The Notebook. I'll watch just about anything, love stories, horror flicks, drama, whatever...not so much science fiction, though. Dirty Dancing. Wow, I can't believe I even put that one in here.

Television:

I don't watch television very often...the only things I watch religiously are LOST and 24.

Books:

Steven King, especially The Stand and The Talisman. I love rock and roll biographies. The Kurt Cobain one, Heavier Than Heaven is the best book I have read in ages. Lately I've been reading Ann Rule's true crime stories, creepy stuff.

Heroes:

My husband, Brynn. My mom and dad. Granddaddy.

I don't think I like my doctor anymore...

I had an appointment with my doctor this morning. I've had the same one for over 25 years and have always liked him a lot. I haven't been to see him in quite a long time, so I had "the works". I am ba...

A whirl-wind of cash

I love the Little River Casino Resort! Brynn and I went up Sunday for our anniversary. We both did well on the slot machines, doubling and tripling our money on some games. Of course, since we were th...
