About Me

Ok so here I am updating this thing. I'm 24 and live in Chicago. There are few passions in my life, but the things that are I live every day for. My family, friends, and wonderful girlfriend. She's the best thing to ever happen to a bum like me and I thank whatever God there may be for dropping her in my life. She truely is my better half and I am a better man when I am with her. My writing and what I hope to be my film career are also key in my life. And of course the White Sox. That's not a joke because them winning the World Series was one of the top 5 moments in my existance. Anyways, I like to read and watch movies. Drinking takes a large part of my weekly to-do list, but I wouldn't say it's a problem...yet. I love to dream and when I'm alone I do fake interviews with myself on the Tonight Show or Access Hollywood. I have acceptance speeches ready for when I win an Oscar. I'm a loser. I don't feel I fit into any one mold, though my friends would beg to differ. Sure I dress preppy sometimes and enjoy some of the lavish parts of life, but I'm the same guy in beat up canvas all-stars and a Killers t-shirt. Oh and I have a man crush on Ben Affleck and Jude Law. Yeah, you know you guys would do them in a heart beat!

My Interests

I like the part of life that is flawed. Happy is all good and fine, but happy is only as sweet when you have something bad to compare it to. I belive that as people we are naturally flawed. From the smallest of mistakes, to the largest regrets we make mistakes and sin. This is OK, and I think society has spent too much time making people feel guilty for their mistakes. Infidelity, lies, and the such are wrong, and we know it. But even the best person can screw up. It's gotten so bad where we are to feel bad about booze and cigarettes and the like. I smoke and drink...and I love it. Books, movies, and music that deal with the everyday heartache and pain that can be life are what I really connect with. I'm not a particularly sad person, but I'm surely not 100% happy. Who is? Rememeber folks, we can't have the sweet without the sour. So I say, let's embrace the sour!

I'd like to meet:

I love anyone and everyone that is creative. Writing, singing, performing music. I love it all. So if you happen to do any of that, or are passionate about life, drop me a line. I do keep a large stockhold of close friends. I mean just look at my top 8. How could a man ask for more than that?? Plus, I have the best girl ever, so I truely could ask for nothing more.

Music:

This is too long to explain. I'll give you some bands, you decide where I sit in the genre pool from there.dashboard confessional, spill canvas, alkaline trio, smashing pumpkins, fall out boy, coheed and cambria, 28 feet, the killers, Dustin Kensrue, amos lee, bright eyes, damien rice, incubus, keane, schulyer fisk (check her out on myspace), kelly clarkson, my chemical romance, jeff buckley, otis redding, marvin gaye, taking back sunday, thursday, saves the day, blink 182, panic at the disco, weezer, lennon(not John, her name's just Lennon) howie day, coldplay, a perfect circle, deftones, armor for sleep, the early novemeber, the anniversary, the academy is, the get up kids, the postal service, sunny day realestate, hawthorne heights, autopilot off, senses fail, hidden in plain view, first to last, waking ashland, copeland...and i could just keep going.

Movies:

almost famous, breakfast club, some kind of wonderful, garden state, closer, philadelphia story, pride of the yankees, eight men out, match point, say anything, jerry maguire, vanilla sky, hate, platoon, bicycle thief, bring it on, donnie darko, one flew over the cookoo's nest, lover boy, can't buy me love, the graduate, poltergeist, close encounters of the third kind, wallstreet, pink flamingo's, lost in translation, one crazy summer, the original "haunting", pretty in pink, confessions of a dangerous mind, a beautiful mind, gladiator, and the list can literally go on forever...

Television:

I am currently hooked on Law and Order SVU because of Mariska Hargitay, and I love Family Guy and The Office.

Books:

I just finished Holiday's On Ice by David Sedaris. I have moved on to Middle Sex by Jeffrey Eugenides. I guess I'm getting in the holiday cheer.

Heroes:
