Losing myself to the sweet oblivion, the perfect expression found only in music
Music is everywhere, I don't think I could live w/o it. It can exrpess what you're feeling, adjust what you're feeling, or just take you away. I love to learn about new music, but I also have my favorites that I will always be tied to. :)
I have been a long time Tori Amos fan. I've seen her in Seattle (2001), San Diego (2001), San Francisco (2003?), San Luis Obispo (2004?), and Santa Barbara (2005- thanks Rory!). I must have a thing for "S" cities? Her songs are so complex-- there is something for every mood and emotion.
I like all kinda of music but if I had to pick a general category I'd say my tastes tend to hang out most around alternative rock. I love piano, acoustic guitar, and I always forget about it but I really love violin (esp. with the above mentioned instruments involved too... like the acoustic version of Bush's Comedown or Michael Andrew's Mad World). :)
My favorite theatre is San Luis Obispo's own Palm Theatre , a splendid little indy place, bringing all kinds of wonderful movies (the kind most people have never heard of). It is also the first ever solar powered movie theater in the US!! :O When I have time (which hasn't been... hmm, don't remember when!) I like to just go and choose a movie by title. :)
I have many favorites, though I don't promise to be able to remember them at any given time, lol. Little Miss Sunshine is the best movie I've seen in a long time, take the time, I just love it, too funny. I think Kevin Smith is great, Chasing Amy being my favorite of his works. I love Garden State, which also has a killer soundtrack. I could think of others, but I don't feel like it. ;)
No thank you, I'm not a tv watcher.
I love to read, though as life gets busy I tend to forget this, lol, so I don't necessarily read often (for sport that is; tons of reading for school and what-not), but when I do I like to get into the book and generally will read right through.
