About Me

What can I say? I'm a half-Chinese half-Scottish sonofabitch with a penchant for sarcasm and pornography.... eh, it happens. I try to always look on the bright side of life and roll with the punches. You know, the whole 'hope for the best, plan for the worst' outlook. Cautiously optimistic, aye there's the rub.

My Interests

I'm a geek. There is no kind or gentle way of saying it. I'm serious. This is nerd central. World of Warcraft, D&D, all manner of assorted video games, cheesy horror flicks where the door squeaks for like forty-five seconds when it opens, the works. I'm also quite fond of pushing people's buttons. I love to see how people react to different stimuli, kind of like Jigsaw, minus the killing of course.

I'd like to meet:

All I need out of life is a pack of cigarettes, a glass of orange juice, and a nice girl-next-door with an 'all fun all the time' attitude that looks good in a plaid skirt. The skirt isn't a necessity, but it damn sure ought to be.

Music:

I love just about everything, with the two exceptions of twangy 'my dog got stuck in my transmission and I crashed into my girlfriend's trailer so now I need a pet, a woman and a truck' country or hardcore rap. I'm a bit of an 80s freak, but you've got to be true to your roots. I like some older stuff, you know the kind of stuff your parents listened to when you were growing up like Janice Joplin, Billy Joel, Simon & Garfunkel, Bruce Springsteen (with or without the E Street Band) and Meat Loaf. I dig punk/ska, ala Rancid, Less Than Jake, Bowling for Soup, the Mr. T Experience, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Flogging Molly and cover bands like Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Emo has it's moments, but don't go thinking I am one of those kids who like to bleed myself dry as I make out with boys. Techno with a good beat always puts me in a good mood. I've also become somewhat fond of lighter, relaxing stuff thanks to little miss Shmerin...

Movies:

Where to begin... I've seen alot of movies, and liked almost every one of them for one reason or another. I'd be hard pressed to pin down a top ten. I like Aliens and Predator, but not Alien vs Predator, The Incredibles, Snatch, Serenity, Labyrinth, Legend, Ghostbusters, Conan (Barbarian and Destroyer), Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Shaolin Soccer, The Fifth Element, Super Troopers and Varsity Blues (thanks Lin), Batman Begins, Spiderman, X-Men, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Office Space, the list goes on and on and on....

Books:

Feist's Midkemia books, Jordan's Wheel of Time series, Jurassic Park, Weiss and Hickman's Chronicles, Salvatore's Faerun books, Harry Potter, American Gods

Heroes:

I'm still thinking that I have to idolize the man who came up with the idea for sliced bread. It's been around for hundreds of years, and we are still waiting for something better to come along. On a side note, I was awoken early in the AM by a text from my sister. I stared blankly at it's contents for a few minutes. I chose to disbelieve. Finally the utter impossibility of this information necessitated some investigation. It was correct. Rest in peace, mate. You will be missed. Steve Irwin - The Crocodile Hunter 1962 - 2006
