Drawing upon influences from all forms of "Americana" music and blended with a dark, ominous style, 12 Step Rebels create an identifiable & powerful sound ranging from the dreary, melodic Ballad of Frankenstein's Monster to the 50's-style boogie Graveyard Rockin' or the punk-influenced anthem Rebel Rock.
Frontman Jakob Insane brings a distinct vocal persona and energetic passion along with a unique guitar sound. Complimenting Jakob's undeniable energy, Nate Hancock delivers a dark, melodic edge on the Upright Bass and contributes lead vocals as well. Second guitarist Ian turns up the rock with his hard edge and the newest member of the 12 Step family, Pat Kappauf brings a whole new dimension to the band with his dynamic, powerful drumming and 'force to be reckoned with' energy!

Sounds Like: With a front man named “Jakob Insane” you would expect a band to put on one hell of a show. And 12 Step Rebels do JUST that! As soon as this band takes the stage they begin pumping out fast, tight songs with an incredible stage presence.

“I believe 12 Step Rebels are the embodiment of what American Psychobilly is…a truly amazing band.”
~Ryan Davis of TexasPsychobilly.com

12 Step Rebels are undoubtedly one of the top Psychobilly bands in America. Melodic, riff-heavy and rockin' psychobilly!
~Flying Saucer Records, Canada

12 Step Rebels hail from blazing hot New Mexico. I feel that this is a most talented act. They pull off a very energetic live show and have great presence on stage. The psychobillies really go crazy for the band, which in turn makes the group become even more energetic. I would love to see these guys play again.
~Scratch Magazine

“In the U.S. psychobilly scene, people should look out for…12 Step Rebels.”
~Nick 13 of Tiger Army, Shredder Magazine Interview

With "Go Go Graveyard Rockin’ With" the 12 Step Rebels have been let loose on the psychobilly world, and are out to prove that you don't have to be from Europe to rock the upright bass. Blasting out a fury of punk and rockabilly, the band tears through each track with ferocious adrenaline that never crosses over to the hardcore side of things. 12 Step Rebels graduated from the same school of psychobilly as fellow American wreckers Tiger Army and The Quakes.
~Life In A Bungalo 4/4 “Really Rocks”

This CD was really good! They're a lot more punk and a lot less surf, but if that's what you like, then check them out! Some songs are slow, and others are super-fast. Whatever your taste, there will probably be something on here you'll like!
