Maggie Osterberg is an American guitar player, keyboardist , and singer-songwriter . Her first album Bent, Not Broken , was released in July, 2005, and is available at the iTunes Music Store . Her work ranges from electronica and avant-garde to alt-rock , indie pop , and psychedelia .
Maggie was born in Omaha, Nebraska , and now lives in Lincoln , after a number of years in the Twin Cities and San Francisco . Maggie attended Grinnell College , Kearny State College , and Minneapolis College of Art and Design , and holds a bachelor's degree in Theatre from Hamline University .
Fans have compared her guitar playing to Nels Cline and Robert Quine , with an overall musical style that encompasses the world of the Velvet Underground , Television , Talking Heads , and kraut-rockers Can . Maggie is a big fan of Frank Zappa , Neil Young , and Tom Waits .
